Golden Key Learning Webinars

We are delighted to be hosting a series of webinars that will help bring some of Golden Key’s learning to life.

One of the most important things we have learnt over the last eight years is that each of us can make a difference and create the conditions for change. Small changes to how we approach our work can create real change in the system. In these webinars we look forward to sharing our learning and help you think about how you can apply it to your own context.

The webinars are open to anyone and will be of particular interest to people working within services that affect or are used by people with multiple disadvantage such as practitioners, managers, strategic leads, learning leads and other system change programmes.

Webinar programme:

Understanding the challenges: 5th May, 9-10am

We have worked alongside clients experiencing multiple disadvantage when trying to get their support needs met by services and systems. From this work we have identified five system challenges. We will explore these and hear from people with different perspectives about their experiences around these challenges.

Navigating the complexity - a simple approach: 19th May, 9-10am

In navigating the system challenges and complex client work, three closely connected elements have emerged. We call these the three pillars: relationships, collaboration, and reflection. We have found they help us to navigate complexity – complex systems, situations and problems. In this webinar we will share how we successfully apply them in a variety of situations.

Creating the conditions for change: 26th May, 9-10am

System change can sometimes feel abstract, theoretical, and perhaps a little daunting. However, many of us are probably already doing it, by the actions we take to try and work differently to create positive change. We will hear from several people working in the system to discover what has enabled them to make the small changes that can ultimately create bigger change.

Creating change: Perspectives from our evaluators: 8th June, 9-10am

Members of the local independent evaluation team will share key insights from their work capturing the learning and impact of Golden Key. They will focus on what has enabled and facilitated system change and share their reflections on the importance of monitoring and evaluation in such contexts. Speakers include Beth Isaac, Richard Bolden & Chris Pawson from the University of the West of England.

Creating change: Perspectives from the ED&I leadership journey date and time TBC

In addressing the complexities of equalities, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I) challenges, three themes emerged: creating the conditions of possibility, building intentional spaces to talk about ED&I, and developing a shared understanding that ED&I is not separate from other work. Panellists will share how these have featured in their ED&I leadership journeys, and what success factors were needed to generate positive ED&I outcomes.

These webinars have been designed to be watched as a whole and in sequence. However, they also work as standalone sessions; it is not necessary to attend them all, though this is encouraged to get the most out of them.

While booking a ticket will give you access to all five webinars, should you be unable to attend any of them, recordings will be made available.
